If I have learned one thing since trying to lose weight it is this:
The goal for this week was to increase the amount of time I spent at the gym. It did not go very well, but I am still losing weight, though it is slowing down. I know weight is really a terrible measure, but it has to mean something. I do notice, even though the weight has plateaued this week, that my pants are starting to loosen up and I may need a belt soon.
Quick update: since this was the end of my first week and Sat. was a cheat day.
End of the week update in my quest to drop a few pounds. The goal, I believe is to get from 240 lbs to 200 lbs. Since the holidays I had some easy quick wins, just by stopping with the soda and sugar. I did not expect it to be this much. I weighed in this morning at 231.2. That is almost 9 lbs this week!
At the risk of turning this into a food and weight-loss blog, I am beginning to see results. I hope you will indulge me as I try to transform my health.
I began 2019 at 240 lbs. I reached 220 lbs at one point with the slow carb for a month or so, but again felt to gross to continue. I began 2020 at 240 lbs. Something needs to change and so this is my plan.
Life is short, be kind, be the one.
I have been working hard to better my 5k time every Friday. I try to workout doing weights and a little running during the week and then on Friday I run a 5K on the treadmill. I got a little discouraged last week because my time was terrible and I kept getting shin splints when I ran. Still I continued on and these are my results:
Decided for various reasons not to try a 5K yesterday. My goal has been to complete a 5K every week. I began last week and I thought I did OK. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 47 min. I don't remember completely. That all changed.
It was a bit unusual for me this week. It was 10 pm and I had not been to the gym, so I decided to go. I have not been that late and there really wasn't anyone there. I have had the goal of running a 5k in 45 min on the treadmill and so far have not reached it. I decided to give it a go on Wed.
